Ethical Apparel

“Fair Trade” isn’t just for coffee beans.
Our shirts are manufactured in a union-shop in Hauppauge, New York out of yarn that is 70% organic viscose bamboo & 30% organic cotton which makes them compliant with “Fair Trade” recommendations of business conduct. We see USA made as a necessity for our shirts in order to both boycott the exploitative practices of fast fashion and support American jobs. Plus for every shirt sold, we donate money to have a tree planted!
One shirt = One tree

Why Bamboo?
Cotton uses more pesticides and insecticides than any other crop in the world which is bad for both workers on the farm as well as surrounding eco-systems but organic cotton makes up less than 1% of the market. Bamboo on the other hand is naturally insect-resistant, has low resource dependency, and functions as a carbon sink for our atmosphere.

As a bonus, bamboo is a viscose fiber and has been proven to possess antimicrobial properties that keeps the shirt clean longer!
